Those who believe rugby league players are insensitive oafs won't believe: (a) Former Roosters bad boy Michael Crocker has commissioned an expensive painting of a draught horse trotting down a road as a surprise birthday gift for his girlfriend; or (b) Gorden Tallis has ordered a reflective piece on an old stadium; or (c) Dallas Johnson, "the concussion man" from the recent State of Origin series, is into postmodern abstracts. Maybe they'd tick (d) Ryan Hoffman ordering a silhouette of himself in charcoal playing football, with the crest of his school, St Gregory's College, Campbelltown. (e) Matty Johns brought the abstract senses of Melbourne, The Yarra and the Art center. All of the above are true. Artist Nicole Rose (www.nicoleroseart.com.au), girlfriend of Billy Slater, held an exhibition in Melbourne on Tuesday, and her works, with strong bold colours, are in demand in Australia, the UK and Europe. Hello Nicole Thank you for speaking with me this morning. I have attached the donor form in your consideration for donating a painting for auction. The Gala event is held each year, collecting donations from some of Melbourne’s most well known companies that make a profound difference to the chosen charity. This year is no exception with Melbourne CityMission: all funds raise will go towards building a commercial kitchen in youth precinct in Fitzroy.
