"Colour" has been put together to showcase the versatility of Nicole Rose’s art. These large-canvas paintings have been created especially for this exhibition. She has been driven to create this exhibition in memory of her father, who passed away in an accident late last year. Tonight is dedicated to his memory.
On the 19/12/2006 Nicole donated a painting of the MCG For the Mirabel Foundation charity, it was auctioned off to raise money for kids, along side Kevin Muscat and Mike Theoklitos from the Melbourne Victory, Matty Geyer and Billy Slater from the Melbourne Storm. Our Annual Ball & Charity Auction attracts senior business men and women from all facets of the industry including public and private owners, investors, developers, fund managers, stock brokers, lawyers and other professionals and suppliers within the industry. Melbourne Citymission will use the funds toward a commercial kitchen to be built within a Youth Precinct in North Fitzroy. The precinct will provide a holistic approach, providing a number of services in one physical location. It will incorporate crisis and transitional accommodation for disadvantaged young people and provide a range of services needed to progress out of homelessness. The new industrial kitchen will be a focal point of the re-development. It is a crucial element in teaching young people life skills such as food preparation, budgeting, cooking, cleaning and healthy living. The industrial kitchen will also facilitate community enterprise opportunities.
