Girls Keep Their Distance

THE boys from Melbourne Storm will not be distracted the night before the NRL Grand Final on Sunday -- they will spend it without their partners.
Their girlfriends and wives will fly up to Sydney together on Sunday after a champagne breakfast at Storm's Princes Park headquarters.
The team itself will depart tomorrow afternoon after a barbecue with family.
Billy Slater's girlfriend, artist Nicole Rose, said she was excited but also a bit scared.
"I've never been like this," she said.
Whatever the game's outcome, a party has been planned in Sydney that night.
The team and the girls will be back in Melbourne for the Melbourne Storm Presentation Ball at Crown on Tuesday night.
Rose and Slater will spend a couple of months in Cairns on a well-earned break.
The 21-year-old Rose has an exhibition planned for next year.
